One builder. A flexible family.

Use the supplied masters. Keep the spelling and the lowercase wordmark intact. Every master below is the real file from logo/, as a PNG plus an SVG.

The builder is an illustration, and it only exists as pixels: the largest copy is the 460 px GitHub avatar. Each SVG wraps its PNG so it drops in wherever an SVG is expected; it is not a vector drawing and doesn’t get sharper when scaled. If the original high-resolution artwork turns up, rebuild every master from it with python scripts/build-assets.py.

Choose the right background

Keep the builder, its outline and the wordmark’s proportions intact.

There are no one-colour masters: the builder is a coloured drawing, and flattening it to one colour loses the character. For single-colour print, use the wordmark alone.

Room to breathe

Keep the lockup together and measure the visible artwork. H is the builder’s height; scale the master as one object.

Keep it legible

These are recommended starting sizes. Always check the final output.

Largest	280 px builder height on screen, the artwork’s native size. Don’t upscale it.

Below 48 px the zzz and the face disappear; the favicons in icons/ are already tuned for those sizes.

Keep the system intact

The builder is a fixed piece of artwork. Treat it as one recognizable unit.

1. Don’t stretch it.
2. Don’t rotate or mirror it.
3. Don’t recolour or redraw the builder, the bricks or the zzz.
4. Don’t lose the outline on a dark background. Use the dark master instead.
5. Don’t add effects such as shadows, glows or gradients.
6. Don’t change the type of the wordmark.
